The technique of structural integration is essentially deep manipulation of the body tissue. It was developed by Harry W. Diehl M.D. It is sometimes referred to as Computational Integration. Structural Integration allows tissues with different dimensions and shapes to be joined in order to fit more precisely, increasing their resistance to tension. The concept of structural integration is in place since the earliest known moment, but it was first discovered by Einstein (a pioneer in quantum theory) as well as others. This idea was first developed by Hertz while experimenting using magnets. I've already talked about it in another article.

We'll now take a look at the structural connection in the real world instance. Imagine someone who's been thrown down on her knee having her elbow bent with the foot's top facing the wall (as viewed from above, of course). Both feet appear normal to the untrained eyes. However, if you see the scenario from below, the arm bent, with the upper part of her foot facing the wall, the medial deviation occurs. This is what physio calls a medial deviation from the line sight. If we now measure the force that is put on the knee during it is bent, we find that it causes only a tiny amount of variation in the lateral progress of the fascia, which runs from the lower to upper side of the knee, resulting in pain.

How do you best to implement structural integration into your practice? This concept can be taught during my EMS class. I've provided a comprehensive description of the way I perform it, as well as the anatomy and physiology details required by practitioners. The initial step to perform Structural Integration involves to make sure that the patient is warm. To calm my nervous system, and aid with internal chaos, I prefer to begin by doing slow, relaxing breathing exercises. As the student progresses through the EMS course, you may be tempted to include other exercise routines or just relax and enjoy the journey. You can do what you want.

Once the patient has sufficiently warmed up, you can begin myofascial release. My experience has taught me that the most effective way to relieve pain through Structural Integration is applying consistently pressure on a certain myofascial trigger. Begin with your feet and keep the area of discomfort open and light. Then, apply pressure onto the heel of each point. Next, you can slide your fingers up toward the elbow and then up to your wrist. These techniques can be repeated on each wrist, finger and ankle.

This process does not aim to apply any pressure on any particular area. Rather, it is the introduction of movement to an area via myofascial connection. In this instance, the most important concept to grasp is that there exists a fascia or tensional system that is hyperactive is present that has become excessively sensitive due to a range of reasons. This tensional network is what causes the issue. Once it's addressed properly through regular Structural Integration exercise and treatment, the fascia will start to repair itself.

If you ask me, fascial release has been one of my favorite activities for increasing the range of motion, 대전출장 reducing the pain and inflammation, and also increasing strength as well as range of motion especially when working on Structural Integration. Many of my students are surprised to see immediate benefit following their first class. Most people are amazed by the immediate benefits they see after their first session of the rolfing of structural integration.

According to my own experience my experience, the best way to bring the pain of a patient in check is to determine the cause of pain and then set a targeted program to get it done. Be aware that Functional Imaging can show the location where a specific tensional or fascia is located. Therefore, by applying the right stimulation on this spot it is possible to see what this region of the body is functioning, thus allowing us to address it appropriately. In the context of this, that a skilled specialist in structural integration is able to change the course of treatment. The practitioner should use the fascial and tensional methods to treat the problem. They must also aim at the total healing of the surrounding fascia.

Be aware that manual therapies such as Pilates is not intended to fix structural imbalances. Its purpose is to accomplish is fix the imbalances in movement. For this to be done successfully, it is essential to use a combination of movements which encourage correct movements and also are able to target the pathway of pain. You will be able to improve your movement patterns as well as address the source of pain, discuss which is the tensional or radial stiffening that occurs in the tissues of your joints.
