Abstract: This talk will provide an overview of Visual Computing at the University of Bath. It will provide brief details of the research interests each member of the group, most of which centre around the use of Computer Vision for Computer Graphics applications. It will focus on the particular interests of the speaker, which are recognition of objects regardless of depiction, and the acquisition of models complex natural phenomena from video and images.
个人简历: Peter Hall is professor of Visual Computing in the department of Computer Science at the University of Bath. He is Director of Research in the department, and is also director of the Centre for Digital Entertainment. He publishes in both the Computer Vision and Computer Graphics literature, and occasionally published in Robotics. He serves the community through national bodies such as the British Machine Vision Association, and internationally through a variety of committees and panels.
