报告题目：Scattered Data Interpolation with Nonnegative Preservation and Its Application

Abstract: I will use polynomial spline functions to find a smooth interpolatory surface of scattered data which preserves the nonnegativity.
That is, the data values are nonnegative, so is the interpolatory spline surface. We shall solve this problem by using a minimization method with nonnegative constraints. I shall present a sufficient condition on triangulation which ensure that the feasible set is nonempty. In addition, I will show the approximation property of the nonnegative spline interpolation. Finally, I will present an application to malaria evolution study.
个人简历: 来明骏博士是美国佐治亚大学数学系教授。主要研究方向是数值分析，科学计算，多元样条和小波分析，图像处理和偏微分方程数值解。来明骏毕业于杭州大学（1982），于1989年在美国德州农工大学获得博士学位，在犹他大学做了三年后博士后工作。自从1992年开始在美国佐治亚大洲工作至今。获得终身职位和正教授，多次获得美国科学基金会科研基金。培养出13个博士，现在正在指导五个博士生。在国际著名的计算和应用调和分析杂志，siam的数值分析杂志等上发表了120篇论文以及出版了一部关于多元样条分析的专著。来明骏擅长用多元样条函数做各种各样的应用。比如图形设计，散乱数据插值，偏微分方程数值解，统计分析和预测，以及生物数学上的应用。最近他还有兴趣优化和机器学习方面的研究。
