第二届国际图象图形学术会议(ICIG’2002)将由中国图象图形学学会主办，安徽大学承办，于2002年8月在中国安徽省合肥市召开，大会的主题是“面向21世纪的图象图形学科的研究与发展”。大会将向图象图形界的研究应用人员提供介绍最新研究进展、交流技术经验以及讨论将来发展动向的论坛。特邀世界著名学者向大会作专题报告。大会工作语言为英语。欢迎国内外从事科研、教学、工程、开发及推广应用的广大图象图形工作者积极投稿，参加会议。

The Second International Conference on Image and Graphics organized by the China Society of Image and Graphics, hosted by Anhui University, will be held in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province, in August 2002. The theme of ICIG2002 is “The Research and Development of Image and Graphic Technology Facing 21st Century”. The goal of this conference is to provide a forum for researchers in Image and Graphics to describe recent advances, to exchange up-to-date technical knowledge and experiences, and to present their views on future research and development. Keynote speeches will be delivered by world-renowned experts in the field.

Paper Submission:
Papers should present
new theory, technology, products and applications of image and graphics and other related domain. Besides,
papers should not have been published by other conferences or academic
journals.
Authors are requested to submit three copies of full papers (in English) of no more than eight (8) pages (including text, figures and references). Submissions should be printed on A4 paper in a single column and 10 to 12 point Times font. Each copy of the paper should have a cover page containing the title of the paper, the name(s) and address (including fax and E-mail) of the author(s), and an abstract of no more than 200 words. Three copies of each paper should be sent to:

Submission in electronic format is encouraged. Please send an E-mail and attach a Word2000 document, or a PostScript file, or a PDF file ( including cover page) to:
All papers will be reviewed by at least two
referees. The acceptance criteria will include the accuracy and originality of
ideas, the clarity and significance of results, and the quality of the
presentation. Accepted papers will be printed in the Proceedings of the
Conference, which will be available at the site. The proceedings will be
published by a famous international press, and if possible, listed in the EI
and SCI sources.

Information about Hefei
Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province, is one of the four Chinese education and science bases and one of the first three garden cities in the country as well. Altogether 30 universities and colleges, 47 polytechnic schools, and 200 research institutes, including Chinese Academy of Sciences Hefei Branch, University of Science and Technology of China and Anhui University, have homed in Hefei.
Transportation in Hefei is very convenient. There are flights from Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou to Hefei everyday.
Besides, Hefei is close to some scenic spots in Anhui Province, such as, Mountain Huangshan, No.1 Mountain in China; Mount Jiuhua, one of the four Buddhist shrines; Mount Qiyun, one of the four Taoist shrines; Lake Chaohu, one of the five great lakes in China.
