报告题目：My Post-PhD Transitions: User Behavior Modeling and Text Mining

报告简介：Is it possible to have US faculty offers after you obtain Computer Science PhD in Mainland China? What does the post-PhD transition in the US look like? I will briefly introduce my personal experience as a data mining researcher and answer any kind of related questions at the end of the talk. On the technical side, I will present my recent approaches of using data mining methodologies (frequent pattern mining, truth discovery, etc.) on the task of information extraction. I will also talk about on-going work in my DM2 Lab (Data Mining towards Decision Making) at Notre Dame on user behavior modeling.

报告人简介： 蒋朦，圣母大学（University of Notre Dame）助理教授。2010年毕业于北京清华大学获得计算机学士学位，2015年毕业于北京清华大学获得计算机博士学位。博士论文《社交媒体用户行为建模》获清华大学优秀博士论文奖。博士期间访问卡内基梅隆大学（Carnegie Mellon University, CMU）。2015年赴美国伊利诺伊大学厄尔巴纳-尚佩恩分校（University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, UIUC）任博士后研究员。2017年8月加入美国圣母大学任助理教授，他的研究兴趣包括用户行为建模、社交网络分析、文本挖掘、信息抽取等。在数据挖掘和人工智能领域顶级期刊和会议上发表论文20余篇，引用800余次，举办会议教程6次；其可疑行为检测的工作进入数据挖掘顶会ACM SIGKDD 2014年最佳论文最终列表。
