1、Training Target: This major aims at cultivating innovative versatile talents specializing in computer science and technology who are able to play an active role in the construction of national economy, development of science and technology and social progress. Students are required to master solid and extensive basic theory and systematic and in-depth professional technology, understand the latest results and development direction of computer science and technology and make groundbreaking research achievements in the field of computer application technology.

4、Learning Requirements of Program
Credit system is applied for the setting of program. The students studying for doctoral degree directly of this major should obtain the minimum credit of 38, of which the credit of public degree course is 7, professional degree course 16, elective course 11 and book reading report 4.
5、Requirements of Training
(1)、Requirements of Book Reading Report: The postgraduate student studying for doctoral degree directly is required to finish 10 times of book reading report during his study and publicly make at least 4 times of book reading report at the academic forum of subject or college.
(2)、Requirements of Thesis Proposal:enough literatures should be read before starting the thesis proposal. The student studying for doctoral degree directly should fill in the thesis proposal with specified format, which should be carried out publicly and in a centralized way in the institute (or the major) and then be jointly examined and approved by tutor group and other teachers of the major. The time for thesis proposal can be determined according to the research progress of the student studying for doctoral degree directly, but the latest time is the end of the third academic year after enrollment.
(3)、Requirements of Professional Foreign Language:literature reading should focus on foreign literature; able to write academic thesis in foreign language and take part in symposium of relevant subjects made by foreign experts.
(4)、Requirements of Thesis Publication:the student studying for doctoral degree directly should publish several pieces of high-quality thesis during his study, which is the condition for applying for the defense of doctoral thesis. The requirements of thesis publication to doctoral candidates, defense of doctoral thesis and degree conferral should be implemented in accordance with relevant provisions of Graduate School of Zhejiang University.
