报告题目：Smart Geometry: from Structure Analysis to Interaction Design
报告人：郑友怡博士（上海科技大学）
Abstract：3D geometry (e.g., point clouds, triangle soups, meshes) is now easy to acquire. Such low-level and unstructured data, however, remains difficult to use. Developing computational frameworks to extract high-level geometric abstractions from unorganized 3D data is an essential task in computer graphics. This talk focuses on a set of author's recent works on structural analysis of geometric and image data and its applications to shape analysis, mesh editing, image reasoning, image editing, and 3D reconstruction.
Bio: Youyi is an Assistant Professor at School of Information Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech. Youyi received his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and his Bachelor and Master's degree in Mathematics, both from Zhejiang University. He has been a Postdoctoral Associate at the Department of Computer Science, Yale University, from 2013 to 2015 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at KAUST from 2011 to 2013.
Youyi's research interests are in Computer Graphics, with a focus on Geometric Modeling, Imaging, and Human Computer Interaction. He has been a research intern at Oregon State University (OSU) in 2011 and a visiting researcher at University College London (UCL) in 2013 and 2015. He has been associate editor for The Visual Computer and program committee member for three international conferences and technical paper reviewer for a number of international conferences and journals including ACM SIGGRAPH\ASIA, Eurographics, Pacific Graphics, Computer Graphics Forum, IEEE TVCG, and IEEE Multimedia, etc.
